Arend is a Patroller on the Super Mario Wiki. He looks like a Pikachu. He is the host in Mario Hoops 5-on-5. In this game, he appears as a green normal Pikachu riding on a normal red Yoshi. He recently appears as a Pikachu with a green-red cape, green sneakers and green tie.
Arend is known as well for creating custom, edited or recolored artwork, depending on how the character is. He's also good in creating, recoloring, and/or editing sprites.

History
Arend was a User since Christmas 2006. His first edit was on the Young Cricket Article. He also got a comic appearance, as a Flutter, but requested to be a Pikachu. That came true, and the Flutter became a referee.
First seen in his sprites, Arend looks like a Pikachu. Arend has 8-bit sprites of Pikachu, so he can use these. Later, Arend has on the wiki an Igglybuff as pet, named Iggly. Iggly is emotional, helpful and cute. She has some quiet moods and can convert those into attacks or obstacles.
Almost a year later, Arend introduced is RL bro Paul to the Wiki, as a Non-User. In his Wiki form, Paul can make jumps as high as Luigi's, plus he can make bubbles.
Later, in 2008, Arend introduced a second Wiki pet, a Luma called Melitis. He and Iggly became a lovely pair, but first, Iggly hated Melitis so much, that she almost worked for Peachycakes, as described in Melitis' History. So, that changed.
Later still, Arend decided to change his look, because he looks too much like a real Pikachu. So, he bought a cape, a pair of sneakers and a tie to create his newest and latest (so most recent) look. A few days later, Arend decided to alter Iggly's look too. He bought a yellow bow and skirt for Iggly. Melitis thinks she now looks more gorgeous than first.
A few coincidences are made in both looks. in the comic When Sysops Attack!, Arend "stole" a towel to make his recent look (yet unknown how he got the sneakers and tie in the comic). Users has reacted on Iggly's new look that she looks familiar to a Sailor Moon character, Arend without knowing.
Later, Arend & co started the APIM Group, a company which produces lots of products. APIM Stadium is one of the stadia that exist, which the APIM Group made.
Recently, Arend was upgraded to Patroller, becoming very active at the Super Mario Wiki, with lots of edits. But, other than creating an account for the forum for patrolling, Arend hasn't changed much as patroller.
Appearances
It Began With a Dream
Arend appeared in the story It Began With a Dream, written by Marioguy1, as a minor character. In it he was one of the two admins (along with Knife) to disappear second; the first being Tucayo.
Relationships
Paul
Paul is Arend's brother, meaning they have a good relationship, although sometimes arguments. Paul also sometimes uses Arend's account for editing.
Iggly
Iggly is Arend's first pet. She was, before Paul, Arend's primary partner. Since Paul came to, she became she became secondary partner, but doesn't care about that. She's happy that she still is on Arend's side.
Melitis
Arend's tertiary partner and second pet. Most of the time, the Luma can be very handsome at some parts. Since he can levitate, he can work as a mailman, in pigeon's form. Melitis knows some attacks, like to throw Star Bits to foes, and to Arend to heal him.
