Bureaucrats, often abbreviated as 'Crat, are special Sysops with great power and wisdom. On other wikis far, far away there are more Bureaucrats, however there are only five MarioWiki Bureaucrats. Porplemontage (real name is Steve) was one of the first Bureaucrats, along with AgentSeethroo who was demoted by will because of his inactivity. Wayoshi resigned after the Willy Event, and Xzelion retired. Recently, RAP and Cobold were promoted to Bureaucrats, but were demoted for being too inactive. Currently, the other Bureaucrats are Stooben Rooben, Time Q, Twentytwofiftyseven, and Coincollector. Bureaucrats have the power to turn Users into Bots, Patrollers, Sysops and even into other Bureaucrats. In some wikis such as the Mario Wiki, they can demote users as well, but on others only Stewards can demote. On many wikis they also have the unique power to Rename other users.
