History

Before Being Made

The game idea took place after a joke was made in chat. It was that the ops were exterminators, and they "killing annoying n00bs, trolls, spammers, and vandals" was their job. Being bored, TehDman decided to make a game where you'd choose to play as a different op, each with their own special gun. TehDman's would be a M3, Super-Yoshi's would be a Mini-14, Palkia's would be some type of dark-spitting weapon, with the others unknown yet. The game itself was to be dark, using a flashlight, and somewhat like Doom 64. Not at all would it be scary- rather, it'd be humorous.

Before the game was made, there was a game using the default FPS engine where you'd hunt KP Blue. This could be called the very first Extermanator game.

The Game Starts: Alpha Version

The game failed to reach what it was originally. Instead, you'd play as a considered "badass" operator in channel #stagingarea where you'd find a pistol and fight trolls. Soon made was a shotgun, assault rifle, pipe bombs you can set up, fist action, chainsaw, and more. The game quickly became popular. After a new flashlight update, the game was here reaching it's success point.

Due to a virtual machine failure, the file was lost. Before it crashed, another demo was about to be released. It used a Doom-like HUD, new voice clips, more weapons, a new (but glitchy) jetpack, cars which would attract more trolls upon being attacked, new troll types, and more. Also, there was going to be plenty more levels, such as toxic sewers, city streets, and more. The plants and trees could be cut down using the chainsaw, usually for humor.

Recreating and Reforming: Beta Version

A long delay, 2 tries to remake the original game has failed. Both files were lost by accident, and incredibly laggy. Endless searches began for a new engine, until the Anticitizen was found. Being based off of Half-Life 2, it's arsenal, AI, and gameplay was applauded by the fans of the Alpha version.

Many problems spawned. Many glitches were found, and custom levels would be partially invisible, making the game very hard to coordinate. It went on for awhile, and new weapon concepts sprang up. After about a month of work, the creators were getting tired of it's little progress.

Long Delay

Finding FPS Creator, a simple 3D game maker, TehDman couldn't get it by buying. After waiting over a time span of 2 weeks for having enough time to run a torrent, it was downloaded, but the system failed, not knowing the lighting effects and the fact is was a demo. Angered at this, the game was not even thought of for a few months.

Guiliant's Crappy Day

During the delay, a game using the same engine as Alpha was made. It used recently learned lighting effects, making it seem more advanced. It didn't progress very far, but it was "a good test and pushing to see what the FPS6.1 version could do".

The Return

Getting CrossOver, it encouraged TehDman to try again with a torrent. With it being a success, he instantly began designing a level. After being disappointed on it's design, and forced to reinstall, the project was thought of to be dropped again. But when finished, TehDman installed model packs, giving giant aid to the production. The demo is now currently being made.

Demo Information

A demo for the Gamma version is being made right now, demonstrating the differences. It is a complete remake of the Alpha version's map, with some extras and plenty more detail (e.g. you start in an automobile garage that has lockers, destroyed cars, a working humvee, power switches, a computer, etc.). Differences include new exits, new weapons, lighting effects, and more.

The flashlight function may or may not work, depending how testing works out. A release date is at the most the end of next week, but it should come within a few days.

WARNING: Almost every single version contains excessive violence and cuss words. If you're not comfortable with this game due to this, I do not recommend trying it.
