Phoenix Rider (Formerly Known as Monty Mole) is a former Sysop (3 October, 2006–12 April, 2008), but recently was re-promoted to sysop (20 August, 2008) of the Super Mario Wiki. He has trademark blue hair and sunglasses, and wears a golden medallion necklace.

History
Phoenix Rider stumbled across the Mariowiki August 2006 when the wiki was just a small community or users helping out on about four-thousand or so articles. He began his wiki editing with some spelling and grammar corrections on articles. Then one day after talking with Wayoshi, Son of Suns and HK-47, he began adding content to articles. This continued until he began editing like mad creating articles and more! In early October, 2006, he was promoted to sysop, a position he has been holding except for a tiny bit of time between April and August (2008). During his time on the mariowiki, he made up a group of users called the grammar police who correct grammar, so far the only ones in the group are himself and Wayoshi. He loves contributing and stopping trolls on the mariowiki and has recently become busy and may be driven into the deadly pit of Inactivity soon, though today, he still edits strong!

The Legend of Monty: Sysop of Time
Phoenix Rider appears as the main character in the story The Legend of Monty: Sysop of Time, then known as Monty Mole, where he comes to a city in the Wiki World and finds it has been attacked by trolls. Then he goes on a quest to stop the trolls and save the wiki world.
Relations with Other Users
Xzelion
Xzelion is Phoenix Rider's best friend on the wiki and they have known each other since Phoenix Rider joined the mariowiki. He has helped Phoenix Rider out of many tight situations and is Phoenix Rider's greatest friend.
Stooben Rooben
Stooben Rooben is also one of the people Phoenix Rider admires, he comments that Stooben Rooben is "Just an all-around cool guy" showing the relationship between them.
Wayoshi
Wayoshi has been an acquaintance to Phoenix Rider since he joined the mariowiki and was the only one to join Phoenix Rider's "Grammar Police", creating and proudly displaying a badge on his userpage. During the troll attack of 2007/2008 where Wayoshi posed as Willy, Phoenix Rider was one of the first to forgive him though he does not know why he did it. He suspects it was to boost his popularity when he caught this so-called "troll".
