History
Wikipedia
TheMushroomKing joined Wikipedia in hopes of being able to do two things. First off, he just wanted to be able to get the benefits of editing as a user as opposed to just a guest. Secondly, he wanted to contribute, mainly about the Mario series. However, he came across something that would have a high influence in his wiki-life. The Super Mario Wiki.
Originally known as TheMushroomKing, he got a name change to Mr. Kite on Wikipedia, and is also planning to return to editing at Wikipedia as well.
Super Mario Wiki
Beginning and Inactivity
TheMushroomKing started using the Super Mario Wiki as a reference for most of his Mario research in 2007, and by 2008, he wanted to start editing. Editing was a right and responsibility guaranteed to only members of the wiki, so he signed up as Super Mario Bros. After a few hours of officially being a member of the Mario Wiki, he went into an inactive state.
Return
Eventually, a spark of interest came, and before he knew it, Super Mario Bros. wanted to be a member again. He remembered his password and logged in to the site he had stopped editing for over a year. Many things had changed. He found out that the Patroller ranking was phased out and reinstated during his absence. The Donkey Kong Wiki had been removed during his hiatus. There were a lot more users than before, and he felt like he was just starting out as a member again. Retaining his knowledge of wiki-editing, he easily created his first proposal, although it ended up getting deleted.
Chatroom Controversy and Three Day Patrollerhood
Since then, he has made accounts on other Mario Wiki-related websites, such as the MarioWiki Forums, and he also participates on #mariowiki, #userpedia, and #mwshroom. He got banned on the chatroom for allegedly trolling and spamming. Ironically, on the same exact day he got banned from chat, he was promoted to Patroller.
The day after that, SMB was able to return to the chatroom. He was made fun of, harassed, called a liar, as well as being yelled at for banning his sister (the ban was by her request). He had asked late that night for a couple of users to come over to #mwikitalk and help teach him about opping users and the such. Eventually, Super-Yoshi deopped SMB and Tabuuownsall132x2 (who was opped by SMB), which SMB retaliated by re-opping himself and kicking S-Y. S-Y later came back to kick and ban him (the latter has been stated by S-Y to be an accident).
SMB then returned to #mariowiki, where he said he couldn't log back on #mwikitalk. S-Y unbanned him, but he was somehow not able to access the chatroom in question, and the fight went on for so long where Grapes, Super-Yoshi, and other users saying that he wasn't fit to be Patroller. Fed up with all that was happening, SMB then decided to resign from his position. He has published an apology that is open to any user, but aimed to those who had witnessed the events in chat. During this time, he created the Music & Artwork Team of The 'Shroom, which he used to co-direct with YellowYoshi127.
Name Changes
He later requested a name change on the Super Mario Wiki, which Porplemontage did: He then became known as Super Paper Mario Bros. for a certain period of time before deciding to change it back to Super Mario Bros.. He has also become a Chatroom Operator in a few User chats, as well as the channel for The 'Shroom, and has returned to normal activity in #mariowiki and #userpedia.
Repromotion and The 'Shroom
On 6 October 2009, one day after he was repromoted to Sysop on Userpedia (right after the Tabuu hack incident), SMB was reinstated as Patroller, and continues to help administrate it to this day. In November, SMB transferred from being the Director of the Music & Artwork Team to the Director of the Pipe Plaza, the Pipe Plaza being merged with The 'Shroom due to the decision of a proposal.
Director's Election
SMB ran for the position of Director of The 'Shroom, knowing that he would probably lose to Stooben Rooben, and ran more so that he could give ideas to the other candidates. He ran more on his experience outside of the MarioWiki than on his MarioWiki experience itself.
SMB was the one who came up with the ideas of hosting a debate in the chatroom, and also was planning to have three chatroom debates and one debate on the MarioWiki Forum; however, due to time constraints, only one debate was held in #mwshroom and, in his opinion, went rather well but not as good as it could have.
In the end, SMB ended up getting 14 votes, placing him behind Stooben Rooben (who had 21 votes), but narrowly ahead of Tucayo (who had 10 votes). SMB remained on the Core Staff after the election and will continue directing the Pipe Plaza team.
Userpedia
Joining
Eventually, SMB saw on Stooben Rooben's status on the Mario Wiki that he had been promoted to Steward of Userpedia. Curious about what Userpedia was, Super Mario Bros. asked him about it. After Stooben's explanation, he wanted to create an account. It was approved, and as soon as he could, he started writing "The Legend of Zeldagirl", which in part is a fictitious account to why his little sister (Zeldagirl) is not active on the wiki, while trying to combine elements of Mario Wiki/Userpedia with realistic fiction.
The Disconnected
Super Mario Bros. later expressed interest in directing The Disconnected, and was allowed to temporarily direct. Ultima Bahamut was the user who truly held the rights to direct it, and after a minor dispute with him and Scarecrow von Steuben, SMB was then positioned as Sub-director. SMB became the director of The Disconnected about the same time as he was repromoted on the MarioWiki but due to work overload, he transfered the position of director to Marioguy1 and became sub-director.
Promotion and Controversy
SMB was working on Userpedia, and tried to help it grow and become even better. After a while, he was mentioned to being considered by the administrators for promotion to Sysop. On 27 September 2009, he was promoted to sysop, the same day that Glaive and Tabuuownsall132x2 were promoted to Bureaucrat. They vowed to help Userpedia grow and become a good website as much as they possibly could.
On the Userpedia forums, Uniju posted a chat log where SMB was joking around with Jorge, Groden and Turboo about nuking Userpedia via hacking Glaive. Glaive, infuriated, lost his temper and demoted SMB. Soon after, he gave SMB his powers back but announced he did not trust SMB after the incident.
Subsequent Demotions
A few days later, though, SMB was demoted to Patroller for all this plus the fact that he gave Marioguy1 a reminder for something he told him to do. MG1 has forgiven SMB for his actions, and they have remained friends.
SMB was demoted from Userpedia Patroller on 29 November 2009 for assisting Jorge in sockpuppeting. He admitted to the administrators of Userpedia of this treasonous action and requested permanent demotion from administrating Userpedia. He has, however, kept his UP forum Global Moderator powers and kept the position of Sub-director of The Disconnected, and was later reinstated as Director.
Despite his resignation, SMB is planning a comic for Userpedia; and also suggested a coverage policy, that was expanded upon by Stooben Rooben and Scarecrow von Steuben, that would give more coverage to some more major wikis, and it was officially endorsed and adopted as new policy in late November and early December 2009.
Chatroom Operator Once Again
On 9 January 2010, SMB was repromoted to Chatroom Operator, with support mainly coming from Ralphfan, Marioguy1, and Stooben Rooben. He has promised to do a good job, and not abuse his power like he had done when he was a Sysop of the Wiki.
Fantendo
Joining
He joined Fantendo under the username of Super Mario Bros, and became an infrequent editor. He plans on starting a project over there soon, and has also expressed interest in writing for the Fantendo Power magazine if or when he becomes more involved with Fantendo.
Impact
Although SMB hasn't been around Fantendo for a long time, he has had a minor impact on Fantendo through the means of proposals. He was the one responsible for pushing for the passed or failed proposals to be archived, as well perhaps having a small impact on the proposal to move Fantendo to a new host (he often complained about Fantendo not running well because of his old computer, and even tried persuading Plumber into moving the site if he found a proper host once).
UnMarioWiki
Joining
SMB joined the UnMario Wiki to make two joke articles and to see what it was about. However, he joined in the midst of the feuding between Lario and Poff for power, or the War for UnMario as SMB has called it.
Promotion
However, it wouldn't be long until SMB joined in under Lario's side when Poff went insane and started demoting all other administrators and blocking innocent users for no reason. He planned with Paper Jorge and Nina Windia in the chatroom about taking UnMario back. They cycled through ideas and eventually settled on Jorge returning and removing Poff from power after convincing him to be repromoted.
The plan went successfully, and UnMario was given back to Lario and Poff was removed from power and blocked for one year. After all of this, SMB was promoted to Bureaucrat, Sysop, and Rollback (the latter being removed due to duplicated rights in the Sysop ranking).
In Charge of UnMario Forum
Recently, SMB created the UnMarioWiki forum, which is mostly used by the Sysops as a place to discuss issues and be able to communicate with each other better than without a private place to talk. He also has become involved with Teh Shrug, and will be writing one or two sections for the paper when a new issue is announced.
The Xephyr Board and Authors Anonymous
Learning About Xephyr
SMB first heard of The Xephyr Board when Edofenrir was promoted to the Patroller ranking. He decided to join, as he was curious about it. When he joined, he barely made any posts, and often just browsed through topics.
Gravedigger
SMB soon became a bit more active on the Xephyr, and made one or two topics. He mostly posts in the MarioWiki and Userpedia topics, and has also posted in the Wiki topic to make a few suggestions. He eventually found himself entering a competition called Gravedigger. Although he was scheduled to play in the game, the game was postponed a few times and the final date landed on a day that he was busy, so he did not compete and gave his spot up.
Authors Anonymous
SMB has announced that he plans to make a comic or a story for Xephyr's Wiki (Authors Anonymous), and he originally slated the release for early January 2010. However, school soon rolled around, and with the 'Shroom Director's Election going on at the same time, was forced to postpone it. He has announced a fanfiction that he will try working on during the year, though.
Chatroom
After a while, SMB started to become more active on Xephyr and Authors Anonymous, starting to make more posts on the former and started his short-lived Mr. Kite's House of Randomness on the latter. It was around this time that Stooben Rooben had told SMB that he was going to reopen the Xephyr Chatroom. Excited about this, SMB continually bugged Stooben about until the day it was reopened, 8 March 2010. SMB was then promoted to level 150 chatroom Operator, and was the second operator of the new chatroom, the first being Stooben himself.
Other Wikis
Animal Crossing Wiki
He also joined Yoshario's Animal Crossing Wiki, and although he does not have any Animal Crossing games, he works mainly on grammar. He was promoted to the position of reverter by Yoshario. However, SMB lost his Reverter position when it was phased out. However, he was promoted to Sysop soon afterward.
Jorge Wiki
Super Mario Bros. was one of the first few users to join Jorge and Turboo's Banjo-Kazooie Wiki, and helping the two with ideas for adding extensions and such, he was promoted to Patroller. He is also the head of many community-related aspects of the wiki as well, although he was demoted on 27 September 2009. He was also promoted to Global Moderator on the wiki's forums. However, the site soon recieved too many errors from the host to run, and SMB lost his Global Moderator powers to a shut-down of the site.
SMB was promoted to Sysop on the Jorge Wiki (the succesor to the Banjo-Kazooie Wiki), and he temporarily lost his powers when Jorge took down the site. However, he has gained his powers back shortly after, until the site was ended for good.
Appearances
It Began With a Dream
Super Mario Bros. appeared in Marioguy1's story It Began With a Dream as one of the regular characters. He went with Marioguy1 after Ralphfan when Ralph was captured by the trolls and though they failed to save ralphfan, they managed to deactivate Rudnicki's machine therefore stopping the Mastermind Troll's master plan to take over the Wiki World by turning everybody into trolls.
Personality
Super Mario Bros. tries to be as official as he can be and tries to help the wiki to the highest extent, but often ends up performing irrational actions to support his views about the wiki, and often ends up confusing many matters he brings up. He likes music, and is a singer, violist, a pianist-in-training, guitarist-in-training, as well as many other instruments he tries to play, such as recorder, harmonica, and kazoo. As well as his liking for music itself, he also admires Michael Jackson as being one of the best musicians of all time, as well as admiring him for fighting through many hardships through his life. He also admires the Beatles, Queen, and many other musicians and bands.
In the real world, he is considered by most of his peers a "popular nerd", most of his peers tell him that he acts mature, but that he plays too many video games.

Benji
SMB and Benji usually hang out during their free time, along with Zeldagirl, and have done stuff together such as filming short, weird movies and play video games at each others house along with Benji's god-brothers (if they are at his house) or Zeldagirl (if they are at SMB's house). Benji has earned respect from SMB, who claims that Benji acts very mature and is rational. SMB claims that he is Benji's father, and Benji plays along sometimes, although both of them know in all actuallity that this is not possible, as SMB is only one year older than Benji himself.
JanuaryBlue
JanuaryBlue is SMB's older sister in real life, and they get along well. They both share many qualities and opinions, such as loving coffee and enjoy playing video games with each other. Unlike Zeldagirl, JanuaryBlue actually likes the chatroom, although both only reside in SMB's personal chatroom.
Marioguy1
Super Mario Bros. and Marioguy1 have been friends ever since MG1 joined the MarioWiki. The first user he spoke to was Super Mario Bros. and it was a request to move articles. At first Marioguy though SMB was a sysop but soon found out he wasn't. So far SMB and MG1 have had many friendly moments supporting each other in proposals and nominations. MG1 has also created multiple sayings for SMB with meaning to his current situation. Marioguy1 and Super Mario Bros. have been and will be wiki-friends for a long time. An interesting thing to note is that when Super Mario Bros. changed his username to Super Paper Mario Bros., Marioguy1 did not once call him Super Paper Mario Bros., SPMB or anything like that.
Stooben Rooben
Super Mario Bros. and Stooben Rooben have been on good terms on the Super Mario Wiki. They both have discussions about the wiki and events that have occured. Stooben Rooben is the one who basically sold Super Mario Bros. out to Userpedia. Super Mario Bros. regards him and Walkazo as two of the greatest users on the Super Mario Wiki and Userpedia.
Tucayo
Super Mario Bros. and Tucayo have had a very strange history in the past, which eventually led to their friendship. It stemmed from a proposal that Super Mario Bros. had created. Tucayo voted against it, and Super Mario Bros. thought his vote didn't have a good reason. In a rampage, he went so far as to drag the status of Tucayo's vote into a vote itself. Tucayo later withdrew, but Super Mario Bros. felt like (in his own words) "a jerk" and offered to allow his vote. Afterwards, feeling a bit better about himself for apologizing to Tucayo on the Proposals talk page, he asked him and Ralphfan if he could be the writer of the Character Battle section of the Fake News, and even included Tucayo in the first battle he created.
Walkazo
Super Mario Bros. and Walkazo have had a pretty good friendship, although their viewpoints vary (sometimes greatly) on matters of the wiki. They have co-proposed two proposals on the wiki and Super Mario Bros. credited her in another without making her one of the proposers. Walkazo will be starring as one of the main characters in The Legend of Zeldagirl. SMB regards Walkazo and Stooben Rooben as two of the greatest users to ever be on the Super Mario Wiki and Userpedia.
Zeldagirl
Super Mario Bros. is her older brother, and they get along well in real life, but often make it seem like they are rivals online. This includes the many times Super Mario Bros. annoys her and calls her "n00b". Zeldagirl, on the other hand, annoys him, bugs him, and annoys him. But they still respect each other and usually don't go off the deep end.

Trivia
- SMB's first time as Patroller on Super Mario Wiki was the second shortest in the history of the Super Mario Wiki, his term ending just a bit before his fourth day, only being beaten by RedFire Mario, who was only a patroller for a few hours.
- SMB was one of the users to support Master Lucario's proposal for creating an article about Michael Jackson on the Super Mario Wiki.
- On the day that Tabuuownsall132x2's account was hacked and NukeDPL was the fate of many pages, SMB jokingly stated on chat that it was Paper Jorge who hacked him because he couldn't take constantly being shot by SonicMario, and tried to use NukeDPL to get rid of pages related to User Soup. He then went on to say that half of Userpedia being deleted was an accident made by Jorge. Ironically, it turned out that Jorge was the culprit, but that he did have bad intentions and did it on purpose.
